Agentic Defense Index

The publication

A buyer's guide that scores what vendors write down

The short answer

The Agentic Defense Index ranks twelve agentic cyber defense platforms on seven criteria, from public vendor pages read between 3 and 5 November 2026. It is written for SOC leads and security architects who have to shortlist vendors before the first demo.

What the publication covers

One category: platforms whose AI agents investigate alerts, hunt, contain incidents, write and tune detections, and watch insider risk and exposure. The November 2026 edition covers twelve vendors, 66 head-to-heads, twelve alternatives pages, five buyer pages, eight guides and a glossary of 30 terms.

The method in one paragraph

Each platform is scored 1 to 10 on use-case breadth, context grounding, autonomy controls, published evidence, integration transparency, pricing transparency, and momentum. The weights are fixed and published. Every number a vendor publishes about itself is graded A to D in the claims audit. The full rubric is on the methodology page.

The refresh cycle

Vendor pages are re-read every quarter. The next full read is due in February 2027. Between reads, a score changes only when a vendor or reader sends a public source, and the change is logged on the corrections page.
